Neus: Iets “stoffige” geuren (warehouse). Een combinatie van bloemen, kersen, bessen, eikenhout, sinaasappellikeur, pure chocolade en een snufje munt
Smaak: sinaasappel, het eikenhout, chocolade en vooral de witte kruiden die de boventoon voeren.
Afdronk: Zeer smaakvol, zonder teveel te worden.
Ex-Laphroaig casks means refill, and that's clear by judging the colour as well. Yet does it seem that the Laphraoig character has influenced the spirit. It's rather raw, salted and sea-like. Sheep wool, clams, ansjovies, TCP, iodine, brine and lemon pop up. After a while, lime stone, crayon, a more earthy smoke (burnt roots) and peach emerge. Further there is salted butter on toast. Not so much vanilla here, it's all rather young and brutal.
